独自ドメインの設定
管理画面にアクセス、ブログの修正が出来ない。誰もが一度は通過するトラブルでしょう。わたしも経験をして大慌てしました。それは WordPress がバージョン 2.8 の頃で、意味を逆に取り違えたのでした。それから比べると日本語化も随分と進みましたが、間違えやすい表現はまだまだ残っていますね。
初心者にかぎらずわかりにくいところがあって、フォーラムに立ち寄ると『どこがわからないのか』。初心者の失敗に改めて気付かされるところが多い。
WordPress は自分自身で管理できるブログ・システム。最低でも HTML で静的サイトを作り更新出来ていることがスキルとしての前提となっています。だから、わたしと同様に意味を取り違えなければディレクトリ構造については理解されているでしょう。
静的 HTML サイトをドメインルートにして WordPress はブログにするケースが理想でしょうから、サブディレクトリにインストールしておくのが管理しやすい。
そのままでブログとして更新すればいいのですが、サブドメインで運用するのも‐Facebookと連動させるなど‐何かと便利な面もありますね。
サブドメインのルートに WordPress をインストールしてもいいけど、セキュリティの面ではルートに展開しておかないほうが良い。そこで、WordPress 自体はサブディレクトリにおいてサブドメインでサイトをアクセスさせる方法。
ドメインと、WordPressをインストールしたアドレスの関係はどうなっていますか。
ダッシュボード＞設定＞一般で次のようになっていると仮定します。
変更前
- WordPress アドレス (URL)
- http://独自ドメイン/wordpress
- サイトアドレス (URL)
- http://独自ドメイン/wordpress
これは次のように理解する。WordPressをドメインでアクセスできるようにする場合、サイトアドレスの方だけルートドメインにします。間違いやすいのですが反対に WordPress アドレスを変更すると全くアクセスできなくなります。
変更後
- WordPress （がインストールされているURL）
- http://（独自ドメイン）/wordpress/
- サイトアドレス
- http://（独自ドメイン）
変更して『変更を保存』したまま、設定後は他のページに遷移したりしないでそのまま設定のページを表示したままでいてください。もし、その後の手順を間違うとサイトは表示されても管理画面にログインできなくなります。
に設定で指定して下さい。間違いやすいのですが反対にすると管理画面に入れなくなります。
ftps でファイルの移動、あるいはコピー
そして、
- http://（独自ドメイン）/wordpress/index.php
- http://（独自ドメイン）/wordpress/.htaccess
の2つを、http://（独自ドメイン）の直下にコピー。
- http://（独自ドメイン）/index.php
- http://（独自ドメイン）/.htaccess
index.php の書き換え
コピーした方の index.php のみを変更します。
require(‘./wp-blog-header.php’);
とある部分を
require(‘./wordpress/wp-blog-header.php’);
とします。

独自ドメインがあるディレクトリが異なる場合は、同じにはなりませんが wp-blog-header.php までの相対アドレスを辿って下さい。
パーマネントリンクの再設定
.htaccess の内容は、初期のまま変更されていないようならパーマネントリンクの設定を再設定します。
サイトの確認
変更を保存している状態のブラウザと違うブラウザで、ドメインを直打ちでアクセスして確認します。
http://（独自ドメイン）
で WordPress のサイトが表示されれば完了です。
インデックスファイルと .htaccess ファイルは大切
インデックスファイルがない場合、ドメインでアクセスするとサーバー内のファイルがインターネット全体に公開されてしまいます。
